My wife and several family members and friends have questioned my sanity for supporting John McCain, so I have decided to further explain myself:
In a "perfect" world, I would support Duncan Hunter or possibly Fred Thompson; however, selecting candidates in this democracy (democratic republic) is a marriage of ideology and pramatism. IT MAKES NO SENSE TO SUPPORT A CANDIDATE WHO HAS NO REALISTIC CHANCE OF WINNING. I am not ideologically aligned with John McCain, but at this point in the primary season I believe he or Rudy Guilini have the best chance of winning a national election against the Marxist wave of Shrillary Clinton or Barack Hussein Obomba. I have determined that I am more closely aligned with McCain than Guilini, so that is why I am voting for McCain.
Convervative commentators and conservative idealogues can jump on their ideological swords and continue to throw knives at McCain (and Guilini), but Reagan isn't coming back from the dead, and their canabalism of Republican candidates is going to create a wide path for our first Marxist president.
“I served 12 years with him, six years in the Senate as one of the leaders of the Senate,” former Senator Rick Santorum (R., Pa.) told radio host Mark Levin January 10. “John McCain was not only against us, but leading the charge on the other side.” Santorum ominously warned: “There’s nothing worse than having a Democratic Congress and a Republican president who would act like a Democrat in matters that are important to conservatives.”
I disagree with Santorum; there is something worse, a Democratic/Socialist Congress and a Democratic/Sociatist president.
